The DiCicco Method
To know what you are capable of, you must be presented with difficult tests, both physical and mental and you must embrace them. As Tony would say, “If it were easy, everyone would do it.”
Our Directors and Staff are trained to provide the insight, motivation and direction necessary to help you past the hurdles that stand in your way. You must want to overcome them, but we can show you the way.
An amazing thing happens when a coach, mentor or teacher recognizes you for doing something well, you’re more likely to find repeat success and your confidence will grow. In order to access your special qualities, we will help you to see what makes you special.
The last thing Tony’s teams would read before taking the field was, “Play Hard, Play Fair, Play to Win, Have Fun.” The game should bring you joy. The passion we feel for soccer is shared by campers and staff alike.
The DiCicco Legacy
Tony DiCicco’s SoccerPlus Camps deliver the advanced training and experiences he used to coach his US Women’s National Team to victory in the World Cup and Olympic Games. Tony was the Director of the National Soccer Coaches Association of America Goalkeeper Academy and his SoccerPlus staff features NSCAA National goalkeeper staff coaches. SoccerPlus Camps offer goalkeeper instruction, featuring a cutting-edge curriculum and unique coaching philosophy. These programs will expand the technical, tactical, physical and mental soccer abilities of players on and off the soccer field.
Tony DiCicco coached the United States to World Championships in the 1996 Olympics and the 1999 FIFA Women’s World Cup. In 2008, he won his 3rd World Championship as a head coach, guiding the US U20 Women’s National Team to the FIFA U20 World Cup. Tony’s legacy thrives today through the SoccerPlus program. The SoccerPlus staff share in his passion for the game and bring an incredible wealth of experience to each camp!
Residential Goalkeeper Pathways
Whether you are new to the position or looking to work towards playing in college, SoccerPlus can help you to get to where you want to be. It is not a coincidence that former campers are playing with US National Teams, in MLS, with international clubs and in college and youth programs. “Thank you so much for last summer’s Goalkeeper School. My son is having a great year as goalkeeper for his Jr. High School Team and I credit much of his success to you. He talks about technical and tactical things he learned and will use those techniques in games and when he’s talking about the game, he’ll say things like..”we learned that at SoccerPlus…” I want to thank you for the wonderful program you offer. It really is among the best training and coaching I have seen. My daughter attended a fieldplayer academy the first year and enrolled in the goalkeeper academy this year… she will definitely return to Soccerplus next Summer. Tony’s talks are great – very inspirational for the coaches / parents and at the same time (and more importantly) exciting and motivating for the campers! Thank you ten times over for SoccerPlus and making it happen.”
