AUTHENTIC BRAZILIAN FUTSAL TRAINING
Futsal is one of the fastest growing sports for soccer players, coaches, and clubs. According to a FIFA report, “an average 40-minute futsal game, a player will touch the ball roughly every 29 seconds, or 80 total touches.” Now compare that to a 90-minute outdoor soccer game where players only make around 30-40 touches. In futsal, players make double the touches in half the time. As a result, the game places considerable demand on technique, movement, and tactical awareness.
HOST YOUR OWN PROGRAM
In 2017 Challenger provided TetraBrazil futsal leagues and clinics for a number of our partner clubs. The TetraBrazil coaching staff provide players with authentic Brazilian FUTSAL training right in their own community. Our FUTSAL Training curriculum has been designed by our professional coaches to provide teams, coaches, and players with the same expert level of training received by youth clubs in Brazil.
Futsal is an exciting, fast-paced small sided soccer game that originates from South America in the 1930s. It is widely played across the world and is the small sided soccer format that is officially recognized by both UEFA and FIFA. The nature of the game places a large emphasis on technical skill and ability in situations of high pressure and is subsequently an excellent breeding ground for soccer competencies that can be translated into the 11-a-side format of the game. Many of the top world class players played Futsal in their youth and credit it with supporting their soccer development. Players of the caliber of Pele, Zico, Ronaldinho, Kaka, Lionel Messi to name but a few of the South American legends all played and enjoyed Futsal. But Futsal has not just helped produce South American soccer stars, on the European stage Cristiano Ronaldo, Iniesta, Xavi, Fabregas amongst many others have played Futsal to develop their skills.
“First and foremost the kids absolutely love it. They get so much repetition of touches with the ball. There are so many attributes to Futsal: constant decision making, ball manipulation under pressure and in tight areas, developing spatial awareness, and the game almost forces the players to give appropriate support to team-mates.”
