TRAVEL ARRANGEMENTS

When will all arrangements be confirmed?
Depending on the destination and time period of your tour, this will generally be 4 – 6 weeks prior to departure. Please be aware that some minor details can change up until a few days before departure.

Why are flights not included in your prices?
We can include flight schedules and prices as part of your overall package should you desire. Your Challenger World Tours representative will put a group flight option together for your group, however travelers also have the option to investigate their own flights and deals to make the trip more affordable. Some travelers may also opt to use Air Miles and family ties for discounted tickets. We will work with every group to try to find the best solution to make the flight portion of the soccer tour as affordable as possible, but please bear in mind that half of the fun/group bonding/team dynamics of going on such a soccer tour is in the flying and traveling together as a whole group.

Are family members welcome on the tour?
Challenger World Tours encourage all family members and supporters to tour with the group. The experience of traveling abroad with sibblings and relatives is what makes such a tour so memorable.

Can I send my child without a parent, or with one parent only?
Yes. This is solely determined on each parent and whether you are comfortable with your child travelling alone or with a designated family or adult. Challenger World Tours will always have a Representative on hand and they, together with the group leader and coach will keep an eye on your child throughout the tour. Each child traveling unaccompanied by a family memebr will be asked to complete a Travel Consent Form to ensure safe passage.

BOOKING

How far in advance should we book our trip?
In our experience the teams who start the booking process approximately 12 to 18 months in advance have a better chance of making the soccer trip happen. Our best advice is to decide on your preferred tour as early as possible and confirm the dates and content so as to ensure availability at the time of registration.

We are ready to book. What do you need from all tour participants to put this into place?
Challenger World Tours require the completed and signed Registration Document and a deposit from each traveler.

What happens if our full roster of players is unable to go on the tour?
In order for the other players not to miss out, you may choose to invite guest players from your own club, other clubs, or classmates to complete your roster. Guest players can also be found for you through our Challenger Sports network or from your destination country.

DOCUMENTS AND INSURANCE INFORMATION

Do we need a passport or visa to travel?
A valid passport is needed for any person travelling outside your country of citizenship. Tour participants are individually responsible for obtaining a valid passport prior to departure. We encourage you to obtain a passport early in the booking process to avoid disappointment or last minute panic!

Should we purchase trip insurance?
We strongly recommend the purchase of trip cancellation insurance. It should be understood that Challenger World Tours and our partners, accept no liability for any damages incurred by circumstances that would normally be covered under trip/travel insurance (as per our Terms and Conditions Booklet).
Your Challenger World Tours Representative will cover Trip Insurance in the soccer tour presentation and provide you with a Travel Insurance Company option. However you are more that welcome to investigate your own trip insurance options.
