Skill Builder Camps provide fundamental skill development for boys and girls with the empahis on FUN! The camps help players learn and practice the core skills and techniques used in each sport and then allow them to practice these skills in a number of games and scrimmages.
Challenger run Skill Builder camps through your local Park and Recreation departments; YMCA's; School Districts; and Churches. Skill Builder camps are offered in a multi sport format for younger players and also in one specific sport for the more serious participant.
All of these are camps follow the "Challenger Way" coaching philospophy and are coached by quality individuals who have been screened and trained by Challenger exclusively to work with your child.
Munchkin Movers Sports Camp - Ages 4-5 years 3 hours per day. Children will get a 'kick' out of this NEW! fun packed camp designed to 'ignite a passion for sports'. Creative games, competitions and challenging skill building activities will captivate and enlighten children as they work on improving their kicking, running, jumping, and throwing skills with a program of the world's best fun soccer games and 'Wacky' sports.
Fundamental Skill Builders — 5 to 8-year-olds Through an innovative curriculum called "Learning through Games," these camps emphasize improving the motor skills important in every child's development. The sports included are basketball, soccer and softball/baseball. Camps usually run for three hours for one week. Certain sites may change the length of the program and the particular sports coached.
Lifetime Sports Skill Builders — 7 to 13-year-olds This is the ultimate sports camp! Depending on the facilities available, campers participate in soccer, basketball, softball/baseball, flag football, volleyball, tennis, golf, field hockey and our own "wacky" sports. For three to seven hours a week, camps include instruction, practice and games. Campers even cool off in a local pool (where facilities are provided).
Single Sport Skill Builders — 7 to 13-year-olds For those who want lots of fun and concentrated instruction in just one sport. The Skill Builder "Single' Sports Camp will help your child improve their performance by developing and refining their Fundamental Skills in four easy to follow stages: Learn the technique -Learn how to apply it in a game - Practice it in small sided games - Put it to the test in a real game! Camps are offered from 1 hour to 6 hours per day with concentrations on soccer, basketball, softball/baseball, flag football, volleyball, tennis, golf and field hockey.
