Challenger's US Basketball Camps provide a fast paced, exciting and fun format for young players to develop and refine the most important basketball skills and techniques.
This unique camp program has been created around the things that kids love to do:
- Shooting
- Dribbling
- Passing
- One v one offense and defense
- Skills tests
- Individual and team competitions
- Daily tournament play
We know that kids learn best when they are having fun and being challenged. The US Basketball Camp curriculum is highly individual and allows each child to progress at their own rate. Daily skills tests allow campers to measure their own progress and highlight the key areas that they need to work on.
US Basketball Camps offers programs for players ages 5 - 14 and will divide campers into the following age groups wherever possible.
- Ages 5-6
- Ages 7-11
- Ages 12-14
The week long camps will run for three hours per day at local Schools, YMCA's, churches and other community facilities.
Camp Package Each Camper will receive a US Basketball Camps ball and T shirt.
Staff All US Basketball Camps staff will be NAIA or NCAA college players or coaches and will be selected and trained by the USBC National Coaching Director. Prior to employment they will undergo criminal background checks and will be fully insured for workers compensation and general liability.
More than just basketball! In addition to providing a great basketball experience, we have also teamed up with local and national partners to help educate and influence the children in other essential areas that are important to families today.
The NAIA Champions of Character initiative has been integrated into our daily schedule and we will use this to help influence how the children behave at camp as well as outside the camp.
Respect Always look, listen and do not bounce balls when the coach is talking
Responsibility Always be on time and bring your ball to each session
Integrity Always try your hardest and play by the rules
Leadership If you set a good example in practice and games, others will follow
Sportsmanship Treat teammates and opponents with respect
The camp will also feature presentations on the following important issues:
- Eat a balanced diet
- Ten tips for proper Hydration
- Healthy Snacking
