Visa Information

Everyone who participates on the Challenger Sports programme will enter and work on a relevant work visa. The J-1 summer camp visa allows you to work for Challenger Sports as a coach at our Summer Soccer Camps. The J-1 visa is valid for the period that is shown on the DS2019 Certificate of Eligibility (this will be given to you at the time of your visa interview).
Once this period has expired, there is an additional 30 day grace period for you to travel around the USA. To obtain a J-1 visa, you will have to attend an interview at the US Embassy.

All the information on how to apply for your J-1 visa is available here. Please make sure to read through all the instructions CAREFULLY before completing any forms.

Challenger Sports and the US Embassy both advise that you should NOT leave completing the required forms and collecting the documentation until the last minute, as you are more likely to make mistakes, and if there are any problems with the online forms you will have no time to solve it.

If you cannot access the US Embassy online forms, then please wait a couple of hours before trying again. There is nothing that we or the US Embassy can do about this, as it's a global application form and everyone will be having the same problems - it's rare for this to occur, but it does happen a couple of times of year, especially once the Embassies around the world start getting busy.

If you have had a reprimand, warning, caution or conviction by the Police EVER, then you MUST call me before you complete any of the visa application forms. You cannot email me about this.

If you have any questions, then please feel free to contact Paul Rao-Kumble on pkumble@challengersports.com or 020 7089 9329. Please understand that at this time of year we get a large volume of emails and phone calls, so there maybe a delay before you get a reply.
