The Challenger Club Trainer (CCT) Programme - What is it?
Coaches will be contracted to work for periods of 5 to 9 months. CCT contracts start as early as February 1st but most start in March or April. The coach will work with a club for the Spring, then work as a coach on the Challenger Sports British Soccer Camps throughout the summer and then return to the same club for the Fall. In some cases the coach may move to a new club for the Fall season. The coach will then return to the UK for the winter. All contracts will be finished by November 15th which is the last day you are legally allowed to be in the country.

Who can apply?
This programme is open to coaches who have previously worked at least one summer on Challenger Sports British Soccer Camps or have previous experience with another accredited soccer camp company in the US.orange team

What will a typical week look like?
Clubs must contract coaches for a minimum of 12 hours coaching per week for a minimum period of 6 weeks. They will have the option to contract for additional hours up to a maximum of 30 hours. In addition to this the coach will be available for a maximum of 5 hours per week to assist the British Soccer Regional Director in promotional work for the British Soccer Camps. In the Spring and Fall a typical week will consist of 2-4 hours of coaching each evening and then weekend work consisting of coaching and/or evaluating games. The nature of the coaching will be at the discretion of the club and candidates will need to possess the experience and flexibility to work with groups of wide age ranges and abilities. Coaches will be expected to work with youths and adults and will be expected to report on a weekly basis to their respective Regional Director.

What about pay, accommodation, transport etc?
Coaches will be paid a compensation package of approximately $350 a week. It will be dependent upon your experience as a CCT and the hours worked. In the majority of cases the club will provide transport and accommodation for the coach. If this is not provided by the club Challenger will provide a car and accommodation. Challenger will initially pay for the flight to the US and will deduct the cost of the flight incrementally from the coach's wages for the duration of the contract. Successful applicants will be required to sign a contract of employment outlining their responsibilities and Challenger Sports' expectations.

Will I need a visa? CCT pointing back
